Spring Concert Celebration 2023

We are delighted to host our Spring Concert this term. Concerts are fantastic events and this one will be a morning of music making and community as we celebrate our beautiful students and families! A Little Stars Music Concert is an experience you will enjoy long after the morning of entertainment concludes. It’s social time, performing time, entertainment time, fun with friends, and a delicious morning tea to share with your family and community! A whole morning of amazing, uplifting, wonderful music making!

Little Stars Events are special times where our entire community comes together as one. This might be the first time you’ve been to a music concert, let alone participated in one and we are pulling out all the stops to ensure Spring Concert is a magical morning, full of fun and one to store in your memory forever!

This year we have a photographer, face-painter, and balloons to add to the party atmosphere and we’d love you to join us. It will be a beautiful and very delightful occasion!

This is our main event for the year (we don’t do an end of year concert!) so PLEASE prioritise this event. You will love it!

Details

Sunday 10th September 10:00am - 12:00pm at Balcombe Grammar School. Please arrive by 9:30am for a 10:00am sharp start.

Performers to come neatly dressed (think party clothes!) or you can wear our BRAND NEW little stars T-shirt! See info below if you’d like to pre-order one!

The concert will run for an hour and then the fun continues with our party! Morning tea, facepainting and a balloon to take home.

What is Included

Your concert fee includes performer registration, tickets for your immediate family (parents and siblings), facepainting after the concert and a balloon. You may choose to perform in the community choir item, too! We invite and encourage partners and older siblings to join community choir. Everyone is welcome!

Additional tickets are available for friends and grandparents via Eventbrite.

what do you mean we are doing a concert with under 5’s?! Are you sure this will work?

Yes, I’m sure this will work. I promise! Each class will perform two items from our usual class repertoire - these will feature in the weekly programs from now to ensure all students and parents are familiar and comfortable with their songs. Just like class, you will be with your child to help and support them…and also to share in the fun! All time, energy and love you pour into supporting your child/ren will be applauded and enjoyed by everyone, too! The stage has stairs on each side and we move groups on and off with very little break in between, so it will feel like a very special class, just on a stage instead of our normal classrooms. Think musical sushi train!!! No stopping, continuous, delicious music and always something to look forward to! We will have the community choir item and a staff item before closing with EVERYONE performing Twinkle Twinkle together.

T-Shirt

We’ve designed a t-shirt for our young musicians that we think you AND your child will adore! Pre-orders for this are open via the parent portal and they will be here before the concert. Orders are due by Friday 11th August so they will be back from the printers in time. So much to look forward to this term!

What happens at the party?

We invite each family to bring a small plate of party treats to share with the community. Just something small!

There will be a face painter available during the party and our photographer will stay with us to capture some lovely family moments and our community together. Hooray for family photos!

You will go home with a balloon, a full heart and an enormous sense of accomplishment!
